Robert “Bob” Richey began his career in the plumbing industry as a warehouseman at 18 years of age.  37 years later, Bob is the leader of one of the most recognized new construction plumbing contractors in California, Nevada and Arizona. 

Bob started RCR Companies with two partners in 1977, who he bought out within five years.  Through his leadership and dedication, the company reached annual revenues of $29 million within twelve years.  By 1998, the company had six divisions in four locations, a full corporate staff, and annual revenue of $85 million.   In 1999 Bob sold his interest in RCR Companies to AMPAM, Inc.  In April 2002, Bob left AMPAM to pursue his other business passion, property acquisition and development.  Bob returned to RCR Companies in July 2003, and regained full control of the company in October 2004. 

Bob enjoys spending time with his children, water sports, motorcycle riding, and travel.


David Van Ramshorst
CFO

The newest member of the management team, David joined RCR Companies in October 2005.  As Chief Financial Officer, David oversees all accounting, finance and IT functions at RCR. 

He has previously worked for public and private companies in the construction, technology and wireless telecommunications business sectors, including 2 years as Vice President, Corporate Controller with J.F. Shea Company and 4 years as Vice President, Worldwide Controller for Powerwave Technologies, Inc. 

David brings more than 20 years of broad financial experience in both public accounting and private industry to RCR, including more than 10 years of financial management experience in companies with revenues exceeding $500 million.  David holds a CPA certificate in the State of California and graduated with a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in Finance from California State University, Fullerton.


Jim LaBouff
COO

Appointed Chief Operating Officer in September 2004, Jim oversees all of RCR’s operating locations and supports the Division Mangers by helping them build their teams and achieve their goals.

For 5 years prior to his recent promotion, Jim was the Division Manager for RCR in Riverside and San Diego. Jim is a fourth generation plumbing contractor with 27 years of residential and commercial plumbing and heating experience. Jim began his career working for his family’s commercial plumbing company where he developed his skills in the areas of procurement, estimating, sales, project management and general management. Throughout his career, Jim has been involved with large and small plumbing and mechanical projects including homes, bio-medical laboratories, hospitals, jails, prisons, universities, and a launch pad.

Jim holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a C-36 California Plumbing License.

Jim and his wife enjoy watching their two children perform in plays and musical showcases. He also enjoys music, books, movies and sports.


Keith Lynaugh
Controller

After working for more than 10 years in public accounting, Keith joined the RCR team as a Controller in 1998. He currently manages the company’s accounting, reporting, payroll, and accounts payable functions with a staff of 13. Keith graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BBA in Accounting. He has successfully passed all parts of the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Exam and formerly held a license to practice public accounting in Wisconsin.


Suzanne Deremo
VP of Human Resources/Risk Management

Suzanne is responsible for all facets of Human Resources, Safety, Training and Risk Management for our company. Her experience includes organizational development, employee relations, labor law compliance, worker’s compensation, safety, benefit administration, training, and recruitment. She began her career in human resources with United Airlines in 1988 and has worked in construction-related HR, safety and risk management since 1997.

Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She is also an instructor at UC Riverside in the Human Resources Management program.


Mike Taylor
Regional VP

Mike has been with RCR for 24 years, starting as a Plumber working in the field. Mike has held several management positions with our company, including Assistant Division Manager of Palm Springs, Division Manager in Canoga Park, and General Manager of AMPAM North Carolina. Returning to California in 2003, Mike was named Assistant Division Manager of Riverside then was promoted to Division Manager in September 2004.


Jim McCarron
Regional VP

Jim has been in the residential home building industry for 25 years. He brings years of management experience in both Operations and Sales to our LAV, High Desert, Antelope Valley, and Central Valley divisions.  Previously, Jim was with Masco Contractor Services for 6 ½ years as a Division and District Manager for Southern California.

Jim holds a B.A. in Kinesiology from Acadia University and enjoys spectator sports, exercise, and reading.  Jim and his wife, Diana have been married for 23 years and have 2 sons, Scot and Matthew.

Brendan O’Shea
Director of Operations

Brendan started as a Laborer with RCR in 1978 and progressed to a Plumber in 1980; only to be promoted to a foreman by 1981.  In 1995 he was promoted to a Field Superintendent in Las Vegas and then in 1997 he was promoted to Operations Manager.  In 1999 he was a Designer and then moved on to become Operations manager in Colorado.   Brendan is currently the Assistant Division Manager in our High Desert Division in Adelanto.

Brendan is a certified trainer for cross linked polyethylene pipe, corrugated stainless steel tubing and 3D Q-pen certified. He is a licensed plumber in California, Nevada, and Colorado.


Chris Norman
Director of Sales

Chris joined the RCR team in 1991, as an assistant estimator. He soon moved up to a Sales Manager. In his role with RCR he grew the High Desert division from a 30% market share to 70% in a 2-year period. With a purchasing, estimating, and design background and more than 15 years of experience, Chris has long-term relationships with our builder customers. In his current position as Director of Sales, he uses this knowledge to help lead, mentor and guide the sales associates in all divisions of our company. Chris holds an Associate Degree in Business and is a member of the Building Industry Association.


Keith Price
Division Manager - Valley

Keith has been responsible for this 100+ employee division since April 2004. Joining our company in 1994 as a Field Foreman, Keith quickly climbed his way through the ranks and was promoted to Training Coordinator in 2000. Keith has numerous professional certifications include P.I.P.E. Journeyman, Medical Gas Certification, P.E. Pipe factory certified installer, Wirsbo certified trainer and Trac Pipe certified trainer.


John Chanda
Division Manager - Sacramento

John is an original Sacramento team member who assisted in the start-up of the Sacramento division in 2001.  He started his career with RCR Companies, as General Superintendent, moved to Assistant Division Manager, then in early 2005, was promoted to Division Manager for Sacramento.

John has been in the plumbing industry since 1982.  He is a licensed California plumbing contractor having worked in commercial, medical, multi-family and single-family construction.  John studied business at DeAnza College and holds a C-36 plumbing license.

An avid fisherman, John also enjoys working on his golf game.

John and his wife Shannan live in El Dorado Hills, California with their daughters Lauren and Jessica.
